SUBCUTANEOUS PANNICULITIS-LIKE T-CELL LYMPHOMA has a CD8-POSITIVE (alpha-beta, CD4-negative, betaF1-positive) phenotype, presenting with deep nodules and plaques, often with fever, and sometimes complicated by haemophagocytic syndrome. Mycosis fungoides and Sezary syndrome are CD4-positive, and lymphomatoid papulosis is CD4-positive with CD30-positive large cells (the gamma-delta T-cell lymphoma being the other cytotoxic entity, which must be distinguished because of its poor prognosis).
